Education
Amelia graduated with a Master of Business Administration with Merit from University of Nottingham and holds an Upper Class Honours degree in Economics from the National University of Malaysia (UKM). She is a published author of the paper “Measuring the Impact of Brand Equity on Company Performance 2009” in the 2nd Euromediterranean Conference 2009 in Italy. Amelia is a member of Federation of Investment Managers Malaysia (FIMM). She is also a Certified Financial Planner after going through the rigorous standards required by the Financial Planning Association of Malaysia.
Professional Experience
Amelia started her financial planning exposure in Citibank Malaysia after graduating from her first degree. In between she was attached to consumer goods companies and has experience in growing brands e.g. Equal, 3M, Gerber etc. She handled marketing expenditures of millions and was responsible for achieving sales targets. Amelia joined UOB Malaysia as the head of Lifestyle Cards in 2007.
Today, Amelia is in her 4th year of financial planning with Success Concept Life Planners and works with CIMB Wealth Advisors, CIMB Trustee, AIA and As-Salihin to execute financial plans. All this started from her desire to be financially free. Many people dream of attaining financial freedom but are not guided to reach their aspiration. As with anything in life, planning and strategy is essential to achieving the set target. After executing her own plans towards the said goal, she is now motivated to help others reach financial freedom.
